Who We Are

• We have served all of Horry County since 1976.

• All our services are free, confidential and individualized to the students’ needs

• We serve students of all ages, currently our students range in ages of 7-80 years old.

•We are the only agency in the area which provides one-on-one services for adults.

•All of our services are provided by trained volunteer tutors, who commit fully to their students. We have some volunteers who have worked with students for over four years.

•We partner with other agencies to ensure a successful outcome. Current partnerships include Horry County Center for Disabilities, Goodwill Job Link Center in Carolina Forest, Carolina Forest High School, Carolina Forest Library, Socastee Elementary, Socastee Library, and many more.

•We offer specialized, research based programs for children and adults with learning difficulties, such as dyslexia.

•Approximately 50% of our budget comes from our own fundraising efforts.
